SALA'M(Peace) children! About 5 am today as I lay awake in my bed the most beautiful feeling of gratitude hit my heart and held me captive for hours. I am so eternally grateful for my life! I live in an old Mobile home that at best can bring 6-to 7 thousand dollars in the home market. It is a good home, sturdy, clean, every thing works and I even have a wood stove which keeps the place romantically warm! The home is in this working class neighborhood, good hard working folks with all that goes with it. They drink their beers, have the usual weekend loudness, but they are HAPPY! Content with their lives, you hear laughter and kids run around on their bikes and off roads, go to school and always say "hi" to me (the old odd medicine-man with his plants). I also know a family(well, many families) in the nicer part of our world (Sedona,AZ.). A mother, a daughter, a somewhat slow witted son and an old aunt who live in this million dollar home! The home is always dimly lit, hard...

We must learn my good children to be, act as if, pretend if needed that which, we wish to produce and see. Every occasion is a possible pool of how to be that which we aspire to. May this day find you all looking in the mirror of GRACE and PEACE even as you are faced with pity matters around you or having a pain of life with its fang at the ready to dig even deeper. How do we know about our progress in spiritual matters? How do we know about keeping peaceful disposition unless we are tested by circumstances? Indeed my children, we must accept all occasions of our lives as dear guests in our homes who have much to teach us about "who we are"! A frustrating situation at work, an issue with my landlord, a loud neighbor, the policeman who just stopped me and seems to have a bad day, my children not respecting my wishes, my government's lack of common sense, the drunks and the child molesters~~~~~~ These are all occasions where we are tested and given chances to display a harmonious peaceful front that says "God bless this occasion, let there be a peaceful way to work through this for all concerned" No ego trips or offense taking attitude will result in higher spiritual growth or harmony on our precious planet Earth, nor do solutions come that way! Learn then my children as I am, to welcome occasions of joy and sorrow, hardship ...

I am working with a colleague, a brilliant mind who is going through some issues of her own even as she is helping others deal with theirs. Our main subject; "what is addiction?" So I decided to make my point here to share with all you wonderful children of our addictive ways. Let us first and foremost agree on the definition. I had a dream, a vision maybe of how to put words onto pages of history. The hands of the beloved at work, where does the man begin where God is not? Simmering stews of all manners of wholesome ingredients given to me to add the seasoning and to deliver the final healing food to the masses~~~~~~~~~ My daughter too, had a dream of my humble mobile home having become a home with a corridor that had no end and as she walked the corridor she saw all manners of animals, birds, ferrets(new born ones!) all being cared for in their individual room like cages that had only curtains for doors .
