There are times we have to take drastic measures, maybe even show a stern face with perhaps a feel of disgust or anger mixed in. If however, the energies we are using to do this task are from the heart with no true long term negativity is attached,then our messege will get across as solid and if the ego's get hurt they will not be in the way of future peace. A child "wants" something and we know it is not wise to allow him to have it, being stern here does not have to include yelling or feeling worked up inside. Just do it and have no remorse for hurting the kid's feelings.
