salaam(peace) children; When we get bogged down with details and methodologies, we almost always loose sight of the TAO(the WAY). Yet and still, without discipline of some daily patterns of activities geared to producing desired states in higher consciousness, we are lost in the MAYA! Every thing we do happens in patterns. The man comes home after a hard days work goes the story, has his 6 pack(name your poison) chilled ahead of time, dinner is ready and the routine patterns sit in motion. Repeated daily, most of our patterns are to keep a sense of who we are, a cultural agenda, pride in traditions, pleasures gained, or habitual selves satisfied, and time passed in total unawareness of the TAO. Total surrender to the TAO(the WAY things are with or without our attention) however, provides a way for anyone to connect to that SOURCE of all things without having to call it a religion. If in any small way we change a link in any of our daily patterns of behavior we would increase AWARENESS

St.Paul laments in the Bible "Most times no matter how hard I try to do the right thing, I still end up doing the wrong thing". This of course is not an exact quote. Isn't it amazing that this is a common HUMAN experience? With all our good intentions, hard work, diligence and trying we seem to not be able to ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THING AT ALL TIMES! Why do you suppose this is? Even the chosen prophets and saints and wisdom filled men and women of God have failed at this attempt to always be "good"! A simple desire becomes an addiction if not tethered with discipline, but a good soul is a good soul even inside an addict! A house of thieves is not Hell on Earth, just a house of thieves. Perhaps if we were to listen more carefully to and appreciate deeply, the journeys of those who seem to have found "the way" we can also learn that they all knew to accept all things as gifts from the " SPIRIT" in both dark or light manifestations.
